Twirling with a Vengeance!
Citrus Bowl 2010
The Villages Twirlers were in Orlando Florida this December 30th, where they marched in the Florida Citrus Bowl Parade 2010!!!
We believe that they are the first senior team to perform at this event and they marched off in style, proudly representing The Villages and showing what a great marching team they are!
As reported in the Orlando Sentinel,
The Twirlers showed up in strength, with 75 team members representing the Show Team, Parade Corps, Flag Corps and Drum Corps!
"and the Villages Twirlers. The latter, at what looked to be 75 members strong, was an impressive powerhouse baton-twirling, flag-waving and marching in the AARP demographic. I didn’t see them at the end of the route, but the senior-oriented group was going as strong as the youngsters after the initial step-off."
