The club started with a group of girls that were attending a Villages Learning College Twirling course taught by Judy Marshall.

 

As you can tell by watching them, they just couldn't get enough twirling during the class.

 

After class one day, Ann Pelle talked to her fellow twirlers about continuing their twirling addiction beyond class.

 

So they decided to start their own club where they could twirl with others that shared their twirling passion.

 

Today, the club has over 60 members and is composed of many groups, The main twirling groups are The Parade Corps and The Show Team.  Other groups include The Banner Team, The  Flag Corps and The Ribbon Girls.  And you could never forget the "The Santa Baby's".

 

They recently added their newest group, The Villages Twirlers Drum Corp.  Currently with 9 members and newly purchased drums, they are now performing at certain Twirling events.

 

The Parade Corps performs in all of The Villages Parades.

They also perform in Fruitland Park, Leesburg, Lady Lake Parades and other special events as well.

 

The Show Team performs at many of The Villages events.  They have performed at many store Grand Openings, at The Savannah Center, at charity events, at the Polo grounds and even travel outside The Villages to perform.

 

Some members even performed on the recent Rockin The Caribbean Cruise in the middle of the Atlantic!
